“I narrowly escaped d£ath” – Singer Crayon

crayonNigerian singer Charles Chibuezechukwu, also known as Crayon, has shared his challenges with gaining public acceptance and health issues.During a recent appearance on ‘Drip Check,’ the singer opened up about his battle with depression in 2020, which was triggered by a lack of recognition despite consistently releasing music.Additionally, the Mavin artist reflected on a near-death experience he had in 2022.

Crayon stated, “2020 was one of the most challenging years for me in the music industry. I released about seven songs, but none of them gained much attention. When I dropped ‘Gbona,’ it was gaining momentum but then the COVID-19 pandemic hit and everything came to a halt. ‘Gbona’ was a popular club song, but even after releasing the music video, it didn’t catch on. I was consistently releasing new songs every two weeks.

“I experienced a breakdown in early 2022. Many people don’t recover from such a difficult situation, so the fact that I am here today is truly a miracle. I came close to losing my life,” he added.
