The controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has stated that the upcoming nationwide protest is intended for the benefit of poor Nigerians.
In a video that went viral on social media, Portable explained that his decision to join the 2020 #EndSARS protest was motivated by his own financial struggles.
He pointed out that wealthy individuals like Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola do not typically participate in protests. Portable emphasized that his participation in the protest last year was a reflection of his financial situation at the time, and now that he has achieved financial success, his perspective has shifted accordingly.
Have you ever witnessed Otedola and Dangote participating in a protest? Individuals like Dele Momodu are not likely to do so. It is best to focus on your own affairs! In the past, I did not have much money. Now, I am starting to think like a wealthy individual.
It is worth noting that Portable had previously stated that he would not be taking part in the protest due to his financial security.
Portable rose to fame in 2021 after the success of his hit single ‘Zazoo Zeh’, which featured Olamide and Poco Lee.
