Wande Coal claims to have spearheaded a new sound in Nigerian music

Renowned singer Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe, better known as Wande Coal, asserts that he was the first to introduce the new sound of Nigerian music. He further claims to have influenced the current wave of Afrobeats artists who are gaining international popularity.

During a recent interview with Cool FM Lagos, the ‘Bumper 2 Bumper’ artist expressed his desire to continue achieving even greater success in his career.

“I excel in my craft and have established myself as a legend in the industry. I am proud to have introduced a new generation of sound and upcoming artists. I am grateful for my achievements thus far, but I am constantly striving to do more. Music is limitless and universal, which is why there are countless genres to explore.” says by wande coal

Following this, he released his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Mushin To Mo’Hits,’ which featured hits such as ‘Bumper 2 Bumper’, ‘Kiss Your Hands’, ‘Se Na Like This’, ‘You Bad’, ‘Taboo’, and ‘Who Born The Maga.’

In 2010, he won the Next Rated award at the Hip Hop World Awards, now known as The Headies.
