Nigerian Afrobeats artist, Wizkid, has commended veteran producer and music executive, Don Jazzy, for his exceptional nature. This praise comes after a recent disagreement between the two on social media.
Wizkid made a statement in response to a social media post by Ladipoe, a signee of Don Jazzy, where he claimed that ‘hip hop is dead’. When a fan brought the post to Wizkid’s attention, he replied by saying, “Lol, never chatting with anyone signed to an influencer. Next.”
Wizkid also retweeted two tweets implying that he was referring to Don Jazzy, the head of Mavin Records, as an influencer.
Don Jazzy responded by unfollowing Wizkid on Instagram. However, it seems that the two have resolved their differences, as Don Jazzy recently thanked Wizkid for supporting his artist, Ayra Starr’s latest album.
Wizkid also praised Don Jazzy on Twitter, calling him an “amazing human.”
