The trailer begins in the inner city of Lagos, where Asake spent his childhood. The film explores the making of Asake’s third album ‘Lungu Boy’, which includes collaborations with superstars Wizkid, Stormzy, Central Cee, and Ludmilaa.
The tag “Lungu Boy,” which roughly translates to “ghetto boy,” symbolizes Asake’s journey from a little-known individual to a renowned star. The documentary seems to be Asake’s endeavor to offer additional insight into his transformation from a boy from the ghetto to a successful music artist.
